This was my first Pelham House wedding and I was so excited to finally be there. It’s always been a venue I’ve wanted to work at as it really is gorgeous. A Georgian house with an art deco interior, what a combination! It’s right in the centre of Lewes, a place I love, but is such an oasis with it’s big gardens. They were married in the Goring Room with a ceremony full of joy, followed by theBEST confetti blizzard I’ve ever seen. You can never have too much confetti in my book, and they’d definitely embraced that idea. Afterwards there were drinks on the lawns before we took a walk to Lewes Castle, admidst cheers from onlookers, for portraits in the gateway. I can’t wait to photograph a wedding at Lewes Castle this year! They entered to masses of cheers again to their reception in the stunning Art Deco ballroom before a delicious meal. Their speeches were heartfelt and beautiful, it’s always such a privilege to be a part of them. It’s also so lovely to have so much space to move around discreetly to capture all the emotions. After the meal there were more drinks outside whilst we did a few more portraits on the lawns. Then they danced the night away in the ballroom, taking breaks to eat pizza on the terrace. What a wonderful day!
