Whether it’s the tiniest of newborn toes, cheeky toddlers, moody teenagers, mums to be or family reunions, I specialise in honest, creative, beautiful portraiture that captures and celebrates real character, spirit and individuality.

One of the things I love best about photographs is the effect they can have on you for such a long time, the ones that you look at hundreds of times and that still make you smile, laugh or cry. These are the sort of photos I always try to capture, those moments make life so wonderful.

People who come to me for their photographs generally don’t love having their photo taken and they don’t want a stuffy studio with a white background – they want real photos, with lots of personality, that really captures who they are as a family.

I use natural light to capture that little slice of your life – either in your own home, in your local park, or on the beach. I want to tell a story that is unique to you and also have fun in the process. I know family life is messy and chaotic, but it also has these beautiful moments that you cherish forever.

What can we expect?

This is the chance to take a few hours out from your busy lives to relax and enjoy each others company. With two small children of my own I pride myself on being able to make it fun and get the best out of your children.

Before the day I make sure to find out all about your family and agree on a location that you love and will work well for photos. On the day we will walk and chat, and I’ll give you some things to do to make it fun for everyone and capture the best photos without making it feel too staged or posed.

You don’t get good photos out of bored kids! You don’t need to be comfortable posing, my style means you don’t have to be. 99% of my clients come to me because of that reason – we have fun, and that means the photos represent who you all are as a family.

PHOTOSHOOT COST

  • Online gallery for convenient product ordering

(London/Surrey – extra £150 charge due to travel time, no mileage costs)

£1200 (weekdays)

The perfect present for those expecting a baby – their first year captured in one package. Those early days go by in a flash but this means they won’t miss those precious moments.

What does this include?

  • Maternity photoshoot (32 weeks + for single pregnancies)
  • Newborn photoshoot (2-12 weeks old)
  • 1st year photoshoot (approximately 12 months old)
  • 50 digital files per photoshoot
  • Photobook of their 1st year
  • 10% off products

(London/Surrey – £150 charge per photoshoot, no mileage costs)

Usually portrait shoots take place during the week as i have much wider availability (I also photograph weddings so free weekends are harder to come by). Weekday shoots can also be held in the early evening golden light too.

I always choose at home for newborn photos as it’s intimate, and warm! For older children a location outdoors means they can run around and have fun, but we can always do them at home if you’d prefer. The outdoor location may be your local park, woods, the beach, or somewhere else you enjoy as a family. I can suggest some locations work really well too.

Of course. If it’s drizzling I’d generally suggest we go ahead, wellies and puddle splashing look lovely in photos. But if it’s going to be pouring down we can definitely find another date. The session is non refundable in cases of total cancellation but it can be transferred to another date if you want to reschedule with 24 hours notice.

As part of the booking process I’ll send you an invoice and you can pay via BACs. You can pay for your products via the online gallery using card.

There is a deposit of £100 and is non refundable in cases of complete cancellation, but can be transferred to another date if the weather isn’t great or you’re ill with 24 hours notice.

Absolutely! Just let me know when works for you and we can ‘meet’ on a video call. It’s important that you feel relaxed with me and I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

All travel is included within a 25 mile radius of Brighton. Outside this there is a fee of 45p per mile or train fare where appropriate (for London for example).

Within 3 weeks of the shoot you’ll receive a link to your online gallery and can share it with your friends and family too. you will receive 50+ high resolution images to download. From the gallery you can browse through all the images and choose any products from the comfort of your own home. If you’re really busy I can help you with product designing and ordering.

When you buy the digital files this means you can print them yourself via another provider. As is standard practice, I retain copyright but I grant you unlimited printing rights, which means I give you the high resolution digital images (files) that you can print to your heart’s content and share with your friends and family. The only things you can’t do are sell or modify the images.

Yes they are. You receive 50+ high resolution images on the online gallery to download. You can order products from the online gallery as well but there’s no pressure.
