Whether it’s the tiniest of newborn toes, cheeky toddlers, moody teenagers, mums to be or family reunions, I specialise in honest, creative, beautiful portraiture that captures and celebrates real character, spirit and individuality.

People who come to me for their photographs generally don’t love having their photo taken, they want real photos, that really captures who they are as a family, combined with some lovely more posed photos as well as a happy medium.

I use natural light to capture that little slice of your life – either in your own home, in your local park, or on the beach. I want to tell a story that is unique to you and also have fun in the process. I know family life is messy and chaotic, but it also has these beautiful moments that you cherish forever.

I have two children so I understand what life with kids is! Even as a photographer, I have so few photos of myself with my children. I’m always so busy rushing around after them that we have lots of photos of them on our phones, but hardly any lovely frameable ones, especially as a family together. Which is why we have a family photoshoot every year, for gorgeous photos but also so I understand even more what it’s like on the other side of the camera.

I get it. I know that asking children to stand still can be so difficult, so I never get stressed about it. I can chat through the best times to have the photoshoot to avoid meltdowns, plus incorporate lots of breaks and little games to make sure you all enjoy it. I love what I do, and I want you to love it too.

What can we expect?

This is the chance to take a few hours out from your busy lives to relax and enjoy each others company. With two small children of my own I pride myself on being able to make it fun and get the best out of your time with me.

Before the day I make sure to find out all about your family and agree on a location that you love and will work well for photos. On the day we will walk and chat, and I’ll give you some things to do to make it fun for everyone and capture the best photos without making it feel too staged.

You don’t need to be comfortable posing, my style means you don’t have to be. 99% of my clients come to me because they don’t feel natural in front of the camera, or their only experience of photos is posing for a phone camera.

During the week I have much wider availability, I also photograph weddings so free weekends are a little harder to come by May-September, but we can always find an available time and date that works for you. I can advise on the best times for lightings as well.

I always choose at home for newborn photos as it’s intimate, and warm! For older children a location outdoors means they can run around and have fun, but we can always do them at home if you’d prefer. The outdoor location may be your local park, woods, the beach, or somewhere else you enjoy as a family. I can suggest some locations work really well.

Of course! If it’s drizzling I’d generally suggest we go ahead, wellies and puddle splashing look fab in photos. But if it’s going to be pouring down we can definitely find another date. The session is non refundable but it can be transferred to another date if you want to reschedule with 24 hours notice.

As part of the booking process I’ll send you an invoice and you can pay via bank transfer. You can pay for your products via the online gallery using card.

Absolutely! Just let me know when works for you and we can ‘meet’ on a video call. It’s important that you feel relaxed with me and I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

All travel is included within a 15 mile radius of Brighton (which covers Worthing, Lewes etc). Outside this there is an extra 45p per mile charge or £150 fee for London/Surrey.

Within 2 weeks of the photoshoot you’ll receive a link to your online gallery and can share it with your friends and family too. The gallery will then be live for 2 weeks for you to choose your package and products.

No. The session fee includes the pre shoot consultation, advice document, my time on the day and my editing of the images. After that you can choose product packages via the online gallery. All my pricing is available when you enquire so you know everything up front, there are no hidden costs. On top of these packages you can also add on extra digital files or products as well.

Yes! I know that lots of people would prefer to order their own products so all the packages include digital images – the top package includes all the images plus some prints.

Yes! I can send that out to you so you know exactly the prices of things before you book. I don’t want anyone to feel that they were surprised by the costs after seeing the photos. Please get in touch and and I will send it over.
