When I’m photographing a Notley Abbey outdoor wedding we always have one eye on the weather and we were in for a surprise at Jess and James’ wedding! Bright sunshine but with some dark clouds rolling in the registrars gave the go ahead for the ceremony outdoors beneath a stunning flower arch and just as they were leaving the ceremony the rain poured down, making for some fun photos of everyone running indoors, with so much laughter! And then within 10 minutes it had stopped and it was bright sunshine again, in time for their drinks and games outside. I really do love every time I photograph at Notley Abbey. It’s a gorgeous venue with wonderful staff and it’s always a pleasure to be back again. Jess and James are the loveliest people and we had a great day.
