My cousin was married in September in a gorgeous Kew Gardens wedding – one of my favourite London garden locations. The beautiful, light filled Nash Conservatory is perfect for a ceremony, followed by drinks in the lush, green Princess of Wales conservatory. After that they had private portraits around the grounds while the guests headed to dinner, speeches and dancing in the Orangery. It was a beautiful day, you are spoiled for choice at Kew. As this time I was just a guest I decided to give myself a challenge of photographing the day discreetly with just 1 camera and 1 lens (Canon 5D MKIII and a 50mm f1.2, no flash), making sure I wasn’t in the main photographers way (see Katie Palmer for the professional photos). I had so much fun, Kew really is such a stunning venue and I can’t wait to go back again really soon!
