YOUR

QUESTIONS

I have been photographing weddings full time since 2011 and have photographed nearly 400 weddings already. Because of this I am a very calm presence on your wedding day.

Yes. To secure the date I will need a signed contract and a deposit of £500 (£100 for short coverage). Unfortunately I can’t pencil in a date as I get so many enquiries.

Absolutely. I have full professional indemnity and public liability insurance and I can provide an insurance schedule for your venue if they require this.

Yes. Unlike some other photographers who double book dates and then send an associate photographer for your wedding, you will always get me. I believe that you haven’t just booked any wedding photographer, you’ve wanted to book me and my photos. It’s important that you feel comfortable on the day with me and for that we will have talked before the day so you know who is turning up for your day.

Of course! Most of my clients prefer video calls but if you’d like to come to Brighton to meet me for a coffee do let me know. I always love to chat!

Yes, I have beautiful albums, made in the UK by Folio. I have two gorgeous samples I can show you if we meet for a coffee. I am probably biased but they really are lovely and make a great addition to a wedding list if you already have all the pots and pans you need.

This will always depend on the time of year you get married as some months are quieter than others but I generally aim to have them to you within 4-6 weeks. However, I always ask if you’d like a sneak peek on my blog if you don’t want to wait and I do that a week after the wedding.

Travel to and from your wedding is included in the package you choose. If you require me to take taxis inbetween venues then I would ask you to pay for these but I generally hop in with the wedding party.

Yes! Lots of people go for the 8 hour package but nearer the time add on an extra hour once they’ve revisited the schedule with their caterer. I always chat to you before you book and use my experience to advise on how much time you need though. Extra hours can be booked at £200 an hour.

90% of the weddings you see on my website have been solely photographed by me. My style is quite natural and once you add in another photographer it can start to feel crowded. The only times when people may really want one is to cover the other preparations in the morning (but if that’s the boys it’s often only about 15 minutes before they head to the pub!) but I can cover both if you’re in the same place. If you are having a very large wedding, 150+ guests, and are having less than 2 hours for a drinks reception you may want one to cover more candid photos, but again, we chat beforehand and go through a schedule and I can advise on that.

A second photographer is £400.

No. After photographing nearly 400 weddings there is very little that will phase me. Even if I have photographed somewhere before it’s unlikely to be the same season/weather, the light will be different. I always do portraits twice in the day if we have enough time and during the meal I’ll go for a wander and scout out more locations, plus I always do research online before as well (I am a research queen!) to make sure I’m not missing anything.

Yes please. This generally only applies to the 8+ hour packages but sometimes with the 5 hour one if it’s later timings. It can be a long day without food. But you don’t need to give me 3 courses, I’m grateful for anything hot on the day to keep me going. I have no dietary requirements.

Yes, I drive. For most Sussex/Surrey etc weddings I will drive, but for a lot of London weddings I will train in.

Yes! Sometimes people think that because my style is really natural that I don’t do posed family groups, but I do, if you’d like them. We chat before the day and put together a list which I print out and keep with me so that I can organise them really quickly for you.
