This was one of the first Falmer Court weddings they had held since opening and it was gorgeous! It’s only 10 minutes from my home so I was really excited to see it and it didn’t disappoint – the Great Thatched Barn is huge! It is reputed to be on of the largest in the British Isles and dates back to the 13th Century. It’s truly stunning. Rosie and Pete met beforehand by the fountain for a first look, which I always love to photograph! Rosie wore a stunning dip dyed dress by Lucy Can’t Dance and Pete wore a tweed suit. They then walked in together for their emotional ceremony, surrounded by fairy lights. Afterwards they exited through lots of confetti (there’s never such a thing as too much confetti in my eyes!) and then enjoyed hugging and catching up with all their guests outside with canapes by Circa Events. It was lovely to work with them again after a few weeks earlier at a wedding at Gote Barn. Rosie is a professional singer and she sang her speech to Pete (my new favourite song ‘Come to Me’ by the Goo Goo Dolls) which was really beautiful. They then had speeches by anyone who was moved enough to stand up and say something, which was a first for me and just lovely. We then chased the golden light across a field for a chace for some gorgeous photos, and then they then danced the night away to the very cool band the Soultastics as the sun set outside. It was pretty epic. I can’t wait to be back again soon, for lots and lots of Falmer Court Weddings!
