Cedar Roof Barn Wedding - Katie & Tim

This was my first time photographing a Cedar Roof Barn wedding and it was gorgeous! Katie and Tim had planned such a wonderful day, personal to them. They had their ceremony at the top of Lewes Castle, with the windy conditions making for a fun time having everyone laughing! Katie had handmade little hearts on sticks, adding such amazing colour to the ceremony along with the bright bunting up all the stairs of the castle. And colour really was everywhere, in all their decorations and outfits. Inside the barn it was festooned with fairylights, a stunning handmade wooden table plan, bright, colourful flowers, handmade felt hearts on every chair, and colourful uplighters on all the beams. Even the little barn outside was decorated with streamers and an eclectic collection of bright glasses that guests used all day and took home with them.

Guests played games in the garden, relaxed on deckchairs and hay bales, then enjoyed afternoon tea on vintage crockery. There were hilarious and emotional speeches before more games as the sun was going down. Their first dance was against a curtain of fairylights before they danced away with props from a photo booth. We ended the night through an arch of sparklers – an amazing ending for a wonderful day.

I can’t wait to be back for another Cedar Roof Barn wedding in 2025!
