I love a Peasant Pub wedding! Gary and Leonie were married in the gorgeous Islington Town Hall in the council chamber followed by drinks and a delicious dinner at The Peasant Pub down the road. Both favourite venues of mine. The registrars at Islington Town Hall are so lovely, and the staff at the Peasant cannot do too much for you, plus the food really is to die for. But more than any of that – Gary and Leonie are just the loveliest people. So kind, so relaxed, so much fun. They actually used to live above the Peasant Pub so it was so lovely for them to come back to their old neighbourhood. We had a few photos at the launderette across the road where they’d go every week!
I get very lucky with how relaxed my couples are and how welcome they make me feel. All the couples who hold a Peasant Pub wedding seem so relaxed. Gary and Leonie were no exception. I wish them all the happiness in the world.
